M&S Bank has warned motorists about leaving their gifts in an underinsured car, as they estimate that over £600 worth of presents and festive food could be up for grabs by car thieves this festive season. They also share some top tips to keep yourself and your car safe this month.

The research estimated that the average Christmas shopper will spend £364 on presents and £241 on food and drink this year, which could all be at risk if you leave it in your car. You may not think you're much of a risk-taker with your Christmas goodies, but it happens to more people than you might think.
