It's the final countdown to Christmas, and that means people up and down the country will be racing to the shops for those last-minute festive goodies – and they're set to spend £894m on Friday alone.

Research from the Centre for Retail Research (CRR) and VoucherCodes.co.uk shows that festive shopping is set to peak on Friday 23 December – the last Friday before Christmas – as millions of shoppers hit the high street and online stores to bag those last-minute gifts and groceries ahead of the main event.
