Who Regulates Us
We are fully compliant with FCA rules and regulations

The Financial Conduct Authority

The FCA regulates the financial services industry in the UK. Their aim is to protect consumers and they have rule-making, investigative and enforcement powers which they use to keep the industry stable and promote healthy competition between service providers.

We at Financial Services Scotland want customers to use our financial services with confidence and have products that meet their needs. Through our compliance with FCA rules and regulations we can guarantee a quality service to the highest professional standards.

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme

The FSCS covers business conducted by firms authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). They are an independent body and are the UK's statutory fund of last resort for customers of financial services firms; this means that the FSCS can pay compensation to consumers if a financial services firm is unable to pay claims against it.

As a fund of last resort there are limits to what the FSCS can do and to the amounts of compensation they can pay.
